Technical judgement. Founder experience. An understanding of how large organisations work.

I bring those perspectives together to help B2B and AI founders decide what to build, challenge technology choices and prepare for the demands of enterprise customers.

I work with a small number of founders at a time, with clear priorities and commitments agreed from the start.

Get to know me first.

Meet me over a free coffee in Dubai, or on video. Tell me what you’re building, ask a few questions and see whether we’d work well together. No obligation to book paid advisory.

Thinking of leaving a corporate role to build a tech company? I did it in 2025. “The fear was money, and being back in a job within six months.” The free coffee is the place to test the idea and the timing. For visas, licences, gratuity, or legal and financial questions, I’ll point you to specialists.

The terms
  • I advise; I don’t build or deliver.
  • Monthly tiers are paid in advance. Board: billing agreed with the scope. Bank transfer or card.
  • 24 hours’ notice to move a session. Unused sessions roll over for one month.
  • After the minimum term, either side can end it with 30 days’ notice.
  • Technology advisory only: not legal, tax, financial or investment advice, and no guaranteed outcomes.
  • Technology advisory is me, one to one. It’s invoiced by Forge AI FZCO (licence no. 77478, Dtec, Dubai Silicon Oasis), my licensed company.
  • Advisory is not Forgeai, that company’s AI adoption product. You’re never obliged to use it, and I’ll say so if it’s ever relevant.
  • Prices are as shown. Forge AI FZCO isn’t VAT-registered, so no VAT is added.

From my first client.

It’s extremely rare to find a friend, mentor and advisor all in one.

DaitaFix, in the founders’ words

Where they were

Like most startups, we were up and down, with no clear roadmap to becoming more consistent and successful.

What we did

He understood where we were and advised us, with useful feedback on our strategy and possible solutions.

What changed

Since meeting Steve, our understanding of what it takes to run a business has grown enormously.
Faron & Callum MughalCo-founders, DaitaFix

Early mentoring: what we worked on

  • 01Product development
  • 02Strengthening our pitch
  • 03Approaching marketing
  • 04Lessons from running a successful business
  • 05Knowing which rooms we should be in

What I help with.

01Before you build

  • Scope a first product: what it needs to do, and what can wait
  • Choose what to build, buy or connect with existing tools
  • Test technical feasibility before committing to a full build

02As you launch

  • Compare technology options and choose a practical architecture
  • Decide where AI can help, and what it needs to work
  • Review technical suppliers, proposals and delivery plans
  • Sequence the technical work from prototype to launch

03As you grow

  • Prepare your technology for enterprise customers: reliability, security and integration
  • Review systems as usage, data and complexity increase
  • Plan the next technical priorities and the skills they need

My role is to help you think through the technology. You and your team own delivery. Where a decision needs a specialist, I’ll say so.

Let’s talk.
